In addition to the craft classes, a variety of other activities is available. Campers are always welcome to walk through Allerton Park and enjoy the magnificent grounds and statues. Throughout the four days of camp, tractor-pulled wagon rides to the park gardens are provided.
The 4-H Memorial Camp staff provides the wagon rides and may also coordinate other programs that include archery, agility challenges, and various waterfront activities like swimming, boating, and fishing.
Of course campers can always enjoy more quiet alternatives like bringing a good book to read without having to worry about home distractions like cooking and chores. Some prefer to just spend time socializing with all the other campers.
